Good Friday – Celebrating the value of the crucifixion in Henley town square

Rain didn’t dampen the spirits of Christians celebrating the Crucifixion.

In spite of a damp, cold and rainy Good Friday, Churches together in Henley met in the town square to praise and thank God for sending His son, Jesus Christ, to be crucified in the greatest demonstration of love ever shown, so that all of mankind could enter to fellowship with Him.

Rev. DUncan Carter from Trinity Church gave a brief talk about the different symbols of crosses that we come across everyday then reminded us of the value of the wooden cross on which Jesus was crucified and the message it conveys to us all today.

A warm ‘cuppa’ with hot-cross buns followed at D:two Baptist church.
