16 January 2022 glyn

Welcome to our Sunday morning worship. Last week we welcomed new members into our fellowship, this week we will be thinking just a little about the Christian life, Christian identity and Christian security. But first as always we sing God’s praises: How great Thou art …..

Our reading today is in fact three brief texts from Paul’s letters:

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I
who live, but Christ who lives in me.

Colossians 3:3

For you have died, and your life is hidden with
Christ in God.

Romans 8:35ff

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall
tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or
danger, or sword? 37 No, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither
death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things
to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all
creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ
Jesus our Lord.

Talk: Ultimate identity, ultimate security.

Our closing song – “In Christ alone” – because Jesus is enough!

We close by saying The Grace for each other:
