Sunday Worship May 10th 2020

10 May 2020 glyn

Welcome to our Sunday Worship – we hope you will be able to sing along with the hymns and raise the roof wherever you are. This week we continue working through Paul’s letter to the church at Philippi, one of his letters from lockdown. But we begin with a great metrical Psalm – “All people that on earth do dwell”

We bring our prayers to God, concluding with the Lord’s Prayer

Philippians 2:1-11 read by Mary James:

Talk – Those difficult people!

“He left his Father’s throne above…” We sing Charles Wesley’s great hymn:

We bring to God our prayers for the church and the world:

A prayer from Ann Richards

When our spirits are low, our decisions are hard, our ways are stony
lift up our hearts. In our weakness give us strength to face our
difficulties. May we humbly build our hopes on you. You lead us
through joy and sorrow in ways we do not know, and you watch over us,
and by helping others and repaying kindness’s may our lives bear
witness to the faith we profess. We humbly ask this through our
Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen

Our final song – the Son who came to save us now serves us in heaven:

Now let’s say the blessing for each other:

May the Lord bless you and keep you
The Lord Make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you.
The Lord turn his face toward you
and give you his peace.
Amen

Coffee after church –
