Upon this rock - studies in 1 Peter

Peter began as a fisherman in a remote Roman province and ended up as the first Bishop of Rome, only to be martyred for his faith.  On the way he learned what it meant to be a follower of Jesus in a world which was hostile  to his faith, and he wrote two letters to the church on the Christian hope and how to  sustain their faith,  identity and their community  under the most difficult and dangerous of circumstances. We’ll be looking at what Peter can teach us, 6.30pm on Sunday evenings from October 13th.
