Sunday Worship Jun 14th 2020

14 June 2020 glyn

We sing – Praise to the Lord, the Almighty …

And now we pray:

Our reading this morning is from Deuteronomy 15, read by Siobhan:

And now we sing “Come down O love divine”:

By way of introduction to the talk, watch this short clip from John Cleese abut extremism. It’s rather old (1987 I think) and rather fuzzy, but he makes the point really well.

A talk by Glyn about faith and race, the ideal and the reality:

We sing “How deep the Father’s love for us”:

We pray for the church and the world:

A prayer from Ann Richards:

Lord with so much disaster in the news we often find that the world
cannot give us peace but you are with us to protect us. You can come
where doors are closed to bring us light and peace. May your healing
power flow into us, give us patience and calm us for you are our rock
today and always. Amen

We sing our closing song: Standing on the promises:

Now let’s say the blessing for each other:
